The VCU School of Nursing was recently invited to present a poster delineating the accomplishments, activities, outcomes and sustainability of the Center for Biobehavioral Clinical Research (CBCR) at the 2017 National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) Center Directors Meeting in Bethesda, Maryland. Poster authors included Suzanne Ameringer, Ph.D., RN, associate professor; R.K. Elswick, Jr., Ph.D., NREMT-B, professor and biostatistician; and Deborah McGuire, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, associate dean for Research, Scholarship and Innovation. The center arose out of the funded P20 (NR008988, 2004 – 2009, P.I. Nancy McCain) and the P30 Center of Excellence (NR011403, 2009 – 2014, PIs R. Pickler, M.J. Grap), with the poster reporting on the period since the NINR funding ended in May of 2014. Plans are underway to display the poster at the school.
