Marianne Baernholdt appointed chair-elect of American Academy of Nursing panel
Marianne Baernholdt, Ph.D., M.P.H., RN, FAAN, director of the Langston Center for Quality, Safety and Innovation, was appointed chair-elect of the American Academy of Nursing’s (AAN) Expert Panel on Quality Health Care for a three-year term. Panel members are experts in quality health care policy, research, measurement, and practice and Academy members interested in these topics.
The mission of the Expert Panel on Quality Health Care is to influence national policy and research relevant to achieving quality healthcare for Americans. It has focused on advancing research and performance measures that reflect nursing’s contributions to health care quality and safety outcomes.
