Stephanie Ferguson, Ph.D., RN, FAAN (M.S. ’87/N), international health care consultant, was inducted as a member of the National Academy of Medicine, formerly the Institute of Medicine. Election to the Academy is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service. This was the inaugural annual meeting as the National Academy of Medicine and the 45th year since the establishment of the Institute of Medicine. Ferguson is currently the director and facilitator of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Leadership for Change Program and the ICN-Burdett Global Nursing Leadership Institute.
