VCU nurse practitioner students and nursing faculty provided physicals for 56 school-entry and Head Start children as part of the Richmond City Health District’s annual back-to-school event for city residents. SON participants included FNP students T’eria Mathews and Latoya Kearney, along with Allison Gregory, M.S., RN, FNP-BC, clinical assistant professor; Carla Nye, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-BC, CNE associate professor and director of the Clinical Learning Center; Beth Hopkins, DNP, RN, FNP-C, clinical assistant professor; Fay Parpart, M.S., RN, ANP-BC, AACRN, clinical assistant professor; and Hope Napier, project coordinator for practice and community engagement.
