Ann Hamric Shares Advanced Practice Nursing Expertise in Europe
Ann Hamric, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, professor and associate dean of academic programs, recently spent over a week in Europe discussing advanced practice nursing at a meeting that drew more than 300 nurses from five French-speaking countries and during a seminar at the Catholic University of Louvain. Hamric provided the keynote address on Nov. 21 at the annual meeting of the Organization of French-Speaking Swiss Nurses in Lausanne, Switzerland. She also conducted a three-hour seminar for nursing faculty on Nov. 28 at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. The university is among various nursing schools that have designed their curriculum around the advanced practice nursing model discussed in Hamric’s book.
