Nursing Students Organize Healthy Living Activities at Boys and Girls Club Festival
VCU Nursing students organized healthy living symposiums and a vendor’s fair as part of the “Hoops for Health and Healthy Living Festival” held at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club last Saturday. Students in Community Health Nursing 416 taught by Melissa Gomes, Ph.D., RN, assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing, organized healthy living activities that promoted exercise, nutrition, stress management, positive relationships and more. The event also included basketball games and featured appearances by NBA greats Wali Jones and Bo Kimble.
