“No Woman, No Cry” Movie and Discussion Held at VCU School of Nursing
The VCU School of Nursing, the VCU Institute for Women’s Health and CARE presented “No Woman, No Cry,” a movie and discussion, on April 19 as part of the Global Women’s Health Lecture series. The movie was a gripping directorial debut for Christy Turlington Burns, who shared the powerful stories of at-risk pregnant women in four parts of the world. Janett Forte, M.S.W., LCSW, assistant professor of psychiatry and program director of the VCU Institute for Women’s Health, led the discussion following the movie on behalf of CARE.
