The 2nd Annual Staff Appreciation Awards
The 2nd Annual Staff Appreciation Awards event took place on Monday 7/18 in the School of Nursing Building lounge. Staff were served an elaborate breakfast on fine china and the dean addressed the crowd before moving to the garden where Deborah Lewis and Samantha Mitchell-Dix were presented with the Staff Excellence Award. In order to win the award a staff member must first be nominated by faculty or peers and then chosen by a committee made up of last year’s winners and a third volunteer committee member. Debbie is an Administrative Professional to the Assistant Dean for Administration and Resources, Research Support, and serves as liaison to Facilities Management and Services. Sam is an Education Support Specialist who works closely with curriculum committees and assists with program evaluation. While much of your work may be behind the scenes, it does not go unnoticed!
