Two Outstanding Awards Given to VCU School of Nursing ALUMNI
Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP) Honors VCU SON Alumni!
The Donna Campanella Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Award was given to an outstanding VCU School of Nursing Alumni, HoChung Gilles, Family Nurse Practitioner. HoChong has been active in the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners since she was a student at VCU, serving as the President, Secretary, and currently on the State Board as Treasurer. She works at the VA Hunter Holmes McGuire Medical Center as a Clinical Coordinator in Hepatology.
The Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Student Award was given to a recent graduate of VCU School of Nursing, Lisa Sievers. Lisa completed the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program and left a positive impression with several of her preceptors. She is known for her complete preparation and thorough work in her clinical practicums and in the classroom. She exhibits clinical excellence and compassion in her practice and is well respected among her peers and the faculty.
Awards were presented by Stephanie Alexander, another Alumni of VCU School of Nursing and currently on the State Board of VCNP!!!
