The Office of Institutional Equity, Effectiveness and Success (IES) is growing its Equity and Access Services (EAS) unit, seeking to fill one newly created position and two existing positions.

Director, EEO & affirmative action programs

This newly created position will work closely with the associate vice president of Institutional Equity, to manage EAS’s daily operations, lead efforts in the planning and implementation of viable affirmative action programs and ensure civil rights compliance with respect to federal and local laws, regulations and agency guidance.

Title IX coordinator and director of outreach & support

This position’s primary responsibilities fall into two broad categories: Title IX and outreach and support. In the first category of responsibilities, the incumbent is the lead liaison for Title IX and is responsible for overseeing, designing and directing and ensuring VCU’s compliance and operations pertaining to Title IX. This role will also oversee the development of robust outreach programs and support services to the VCU community.

Civil Rights Investigator, EO

Finally, IES is seeking to fill a critical role – a civil rights investigator for EAS – to conduct all aspects of investigations and includes the full spectrum of investigative responsibilities including, but not limited to: intake processing, evidence gathering, interviews, hearings, document preparation and follow-up as needed.
