Impacts on HRPP Services and Timelines
During the next several weeks, the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) will be undergoing additional changes in personnel that may impact HRPP services and timelines.
Reliance Division
Stacy West, Reliance Manager, will vacate her position on Friday, November 4 and Vanessa Hernandez, Reliance Consultant, will vacate her position on Friday, November 18. We are fortunate to have experienced HRPP team members to provide interim coverage for reliance operations. In the event that you experience an urgent external IRB reliance issue, please contact the HRPP directly at irbreliance@vcu.edu and indicate in the subject line of the email the urgency of the issue or request.
Operations Division
As HRPP team members step in to provide coverage for reliance operations, timelines for full board, expedited, and exempt submissions and screening may be impacted. Education Division
In order to provide coverage for essential operations, we need to temporarily scale back on educational offerings. Important updates will still be communicated via the OVPRI Human Subject Protection blog and the HRPP newsletter. We look forward to resuming revamped education services next calendar year.
Monitoring Division
At this time, monitoring activities are limited to for-cause monitoring requests. Please continue to contact the HRPP directly at pamquip@vcu.edu for questions related to for-cause monitoring.
