New: Training Sessions on Human Research Ancillary Reviews
The IRB isn’t the end-all-be-all of human research reviews. There are several other ancillary reviews that must be completed in conjunction with IRB review. Sign up for a special training session to learn all about human research ancillary reviews! Sessions will be held virtually using Zoom, on the following dates:
- Fri, Jan 28, 3pm-4pm ET (Register here)
- Mon, Jan 31, noon-1pm ET (Register here)
- Tue, Feb 8, 11am-noon ET (Register here)
In these training sessions, hear from representatives of the three most common ancillary review groups: Proposal Review and Oversight Committees (PROCs); the Massey Cancer Center Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC); and the Conflict of Interest (COI) Committee. Representatives from the IRB will also touch on the topic of Department Review. Other, less common ancillary review committees, such as Biosafety and Radiation Safety, will be briefly discussed at the end of the session.
Following this session, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the ancillary reviews that must be completed in conjunction with IRB review
- Understand why each type of ancillary review is required
- Navigate the submission process for each major type of ancillary review
- Locate resources and points of contact for ancillary reviews
