Recognizing our VIRBs Champions Group and Research Community Training Demo Attendees!
HRPP leadership and staff want to recognize the invested group of Champions who have agreed to be early trainees of our new VCU IRB system (VIRBs: go-live is 8/7/25). These Champions have met 4 times from May through June for VIRBs training demonstrations. They have raised important considerations on our new system and provided timely counsel in anticipation of research communities potential questions as we move forward with implementation. We are grateful for their assistance and time.
Our Champions will also serve as department points of contact helping colleagues navigate VIRBs as well as continuing to provide input to the HRPP.
Additionally, we want to recognize the PIs, study team members, administrators and other members of our research community for attending the VIRBs System Overview session on June 5th (79 live attendees), our Initial Single Site Submission Training on June 17th (70 live attendees), and our MOD/CR/MODCR/RNI Submissions Training on June 23rd (30 live attendees).
