The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is searching to fill 8 DNA Analyst/Criminalist positions in our Forensic Services – DNA Casework Department. The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, integrity, and a basic understanding of scientific principles involved in DNA and Serology analysis.

A minimum of three courses totaling at least nine semester or equivalent credit hours in biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology and successful completion of coursework covering statistics and/or population genetics is required.

The SLED laboratory is located in Columbia, South Carolina, which is at the center of the state with easy access to the beach and the mountains. We will also be moving into a brand-new laboratory soon!
