The Forensic Sciences Mentoring Institute (FMI) Summer Science Program is designed to provide high school students an opportunity to receive hands-on learning in forensic science through the use of mock cases. Mentors will work directly with the students throughout the duration of the program. Being a mentor allows individuals to build on their foundational understanding in forensic and deepen their understanding by teaching high school students to work under chain of custody, preform data analysis in the state-of-the-art laboratory, and refine public speaking skills through moot court. This mentorship position helps college students refine their skills in the laboratory as well as build management and communication skills needed for a career in forensic science. Position Held: May 27th- August 13th 2022
Program Hours:Mondays through Fridays from 8:00am-4:00pmTwo required weekend dates, Saturday June 25th and August 13th
