The National Scholarship Office (NSO) will offer an online information session about international post-grad scholarship opportunities (Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, Gates-Cambridge, Schwarzman, Knight-Hennessy, and Fulbright) on Thursday, February 11, at 2p. Juniors, seniors, grad students, and recent alumni are encouraged to attend. First- and second-year students are also welcome. Those who are interested in attending can register on the NSO blog. The Zoom links will be sent on the morning of the info session to those who have registered. More information about these scholarships can be found on the NSO website. Those who are interested but unable to attend either info session are invited to make an appointment to meet with one of the fellowship advisors in the NSO.
During this info session, the NSO will discuss the timeline for applying for these opportunities for the 2022-2023 academic year. Rhodes, Marshall, and Mitchell require university nominations. Competitive candidates will have a strong academic record, extracurricular involvement, including leadership experiences, and future plans aligned with their plans for post-graduate study. They will also need several strong recommendation letters from faculty and others who know them well, including their future plans. Competitive candidates will want to start working on their application materials well in advance of the early fall deadlines.
Several additional information sessions focused specifically on the Fulbright Student Scholarship program will be offered later this spring. Check the NSO blog for a complete schedule of upcoming information sessions.
