The Prince George’s County Police Dept. (MD) is seeking qualified applicants to fill vacant senior/lead level analyst positions within the DNA Laboratory. The posting closes on 3/3/20.

This is a senior/lead level technical and professional position.  The incumbent will conduct serologic and DNA analysis on physical evidence submitted by law enforcement personnel. This analytical work involves potential contact with biohazards, chemical solvents, and reagents. The employee will prepare summary findings and materials for the use in testifying as an expert witness in criminal trial cases.  The incumbent may perform lead work over subordinate level Forensic Chemist and perform the duties of Laboratory Manager in his/her absence.  Work is performed with a considerable degree of independence in accordance with established technical standards and policies based on the ability to analyze, identify and document physical evidence, and to offer effective case related testimony.  The incumbent may assist the Laboratory Manager in leading and training subordinate forensic chemists.
