Lane Carasik, Ph.D., mechanical and nuclear engineering assistant professor, recently received the Social Responsibility in the Nuclear Community Award from the American Nuclear Society (ANS). He was co-awarded the honor with Kalin Kiesling, Ph.D., from Argonne National Laboratory, and Lisa Marshall, from NC State University.

Computer science faculty member wins award for collaborative project with appliance manufacturer Hamilton Beach
Alberto Cano, Ph.D., associate professor of computer science, worked with the appliance manufacturer to develop and implement a business intelligence service on the Microsoft Azure cloud. The software helps Hamilton Beach monitor product sales on the web.
