The VCU School of Business, in partnership with Universal Corporation, continues its new Expert Insights series — bringing leaders and the community to campus to share practical expertise and explore today’s most pressing business issues. Each session includes breakfast, networking and an interactive presentation with business, community and university leaders.
“How to create a growth mindset culture as a new CEO”
Learn how William J. Groves II, a young and exciting new CEO, transformed a community bank by cultivating a growth-mindset culture. In this session, Groves shares real-world lessons on leading change, building belief and driving innovation through bold yet disciplined decisions.
Attendees will leave inspired with practical insights on creating cultures that embrace learning, accountability and momentum — key ingredients for sustainable growth in any organization. As an attendee, you will also receive Groves’ private reading list that inspired and guided him throughout this transformative journey.
The discussion will be moderated by Bob Kelley, assistant professor for the department of management and entrepreneurship and president and founder of Pure Culture Consulting. Bob’s expertise includes business strategy, organizational culture and leadership development.
