In today’s fast-paced work environment, stress, burnout and disengagement are widespread among employees. To address these challenges and promote collective well-being, scholars and leaders are advocating for transformative changes in business operations.  In a recent article published in the Academy of Management Review, Associate Professor Chris Reina provides a foundation for transforming business organizations to a more people-centered focus. 

Drawing from Buddhist philosophy, organizational communication research and real-life examples, this research illustrates how some organizations naturally embody humanistic organizing, while others undergo transformational journeys to adopt this approach.
