By Leila Ugincius
A future-of-work strategist and an expert in thought leadership will headline the 31st annual Real Estate Trends Conference, presented by the Virginia Commonwealth University Business School’s Kornblau Real Estate Program.
The event, at which industry leaders address trends affecting the real estate and business economies, will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. Third St. Doors open for registration, networking and a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The program starts at 9 a.m.
Keynote speaker Heather E. McGowan is a strategic consultant, Amazon best-selling author and LinkedIn’s 2017 Top Influencer on Lifelong Learning & The Future of Work.
McGowan helps leaders prepare their people and organizations for the post-pandemic world of work. The past few years have forever changed where and how we work, who works, how we measure work, what we do for work – and, most importantly, why we work. McGowan is influencing mindsets and organizations around the globe with her message about how the next phase of work will focus on continuous learning, rather than simply learning once.
Real estate keynote speaker David Bitner is Newmark Group’s executive managing director of global research, where he is responsible for the strategic vision and execution of research initiatives, focusing on thought leadership that leverages the firm’s data-driven market intelligence with an emphasis on capital markets. A 10-year industry veteran with more than 12 years of experience in the finance industry, Bitner analyzes international macroeconomic trends, real estate fundamentals and capital-market dynamics to identify potential risks and opportunities for investors.
