VCU part-time MBA soars in U.S. news rankings
The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business , also known as the VCU Evening MBA, now ranks among the top in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. The VCU program comes in at No. 57 in the newly-released 2020 rankings, a significant rise from the No. 118 ranking last year.
To be eligible for ranking, a program must be accredited by AACSB International and enroll 20 or more students. A total of 323 part-time MBA programs were surveyed, with 287 included in the rankings.
“Our leap in this year’s U.S. News & World Report rankings reflects the excellence of our faculty, staff and students and our growing influence amongst our peers nationally,” said Ed Grier, dean of the VCU School of Business.
“This could not have happened without the sustained efforts and commitment of all faculty who teach in our MBA and other graduate programs, and the dedicated and excellent support provided by every staff member,” reflected Jayaraman Vijayakumar, associate dean for VCU School of Business Graduate Programs.
Released annually, the U.S. News & World Report rankings have become the definitive list for the nation’s top higher education programs. Part-time MBA rankings are determined via a combination of peer assessment, enrollment and academic data, and work experience of students.
