New! The Interdisciplinary Career Readiness Skills Minor

The IDS Program is excited to introduce the Interdisciplinary Career Readiness Skills (ICS) minor, an 18-credit pathway to the development of today’s most highly sought-after job skills. Research conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has identified eight Career Readiness Competencies that employers across industries value most in new hires.

The ICS minor gathers classes from across the university to create a new way for VCU students to build those competencies, and then demonstrate their proficiency through a final portfolio project.

The ICS minor does not officially debut until Fall 2021, but you can start taking classes now. You can also apply courses you have already completed as soon as the minor is declared!

If you have questions, please feel free to contact Zach Hilpert (zhilpert@vcu.edu), Director of Interdisciplinary Studies.
